Briggs & Stratton Generators for Mid-Size Homes

Briggs & Stratton 22kW PowerProtect+ home standby generators suit most homes of 2,000 to 3,000 sq ft with one or two central air conditioners. Choose a generator only (040787, or the 040790 PowerProtect DX) if you already have a transfer switch, or the 040795 kit with a 200A service-entrance transfer switch for a new install.

When to size up: two or more ACs plus electric heat, an electric range and dryer, or a home over 3,000 sq ft usually call for our Briggs & Stratton generators for large homes. Two 200A panels? See generators for 400A split service. Smaller home? See small homes.

See the full range in Briggs & Stratton Residential Standby Generators. Sizing here is a starting point; a licensed electrician should complete a load calculation before installation. Questions? Call 678-535-7176.
