Generac Generators for Extra-Large Homes

The Generac 28kW Next Gen is Generac's largest air-cooled home standby generator, for homes over 4,500 sq ft, all-electric homes, and homes with several central air conditioners. Choose the generator only (model 7282) if you already have a transfer switch, or the 7329 kit with a 200A service-entrance transfer switch and ecobee thermostat for a new install.

Running everything at once? Very large homes may still need load management so the biggest loads take turns. A smaller home with two ACs is usually covered by our Generac generators for large homes.

See every size in Generac Home Standby Generators. Sizing here is a starting point; a licensed electrician should complete a load calculation before installation. Questions? Call 678-535-7176.
